We've been busy!
Dissecting plants, investigating animals and connecting both to our ecosystem
WAVES..... WAVES.... WAVES
I spy: Find WAVES in your world. Look for anything that is showing signs of being a wave and report it to your family
DOODLE BOTS: An activity that promotes problem solving, innovative thinking, and collaboration. It makes us WONDER!
I wonder... what happens if we add more markers
I wonder... how to make it doodle a straight line.
I wonder... how that group made it doodle circles.
I wonder...how to make it doodle faster.
I wonder...how we can design it so we can control it better and it stays on the paper.
As a learner, we need to wonder. We need to look at the task we are doing and start to formulate "I wonders" to drive our learning forward, engage ourselves and to make learning meaningful to each individual.
In Room 303... WE WONDER!
What a motivating way to work with the Scientific Method! We learned that scientist pose questions, experiment to answer that question, revise their experiment when it fails to answer the question or discover anything, create more questions because of new discoveries based on failures, etc. etc.
